Photography is an art and we are lucky that we have so many photographers to choose from. Each of us will bring our own unique look and feel to your portraits. How do you choose the Oshawa Maternity Photographer that is right for you? Maternity photos are special in that they really only happen a handful of times in your life. Take the time to look through various portfolios and really understand how you want your photographs to feel. If you book a session with me you can expect soft, dreamy portraits. 2. Are you looking for wardrobe help? Does your Oshawa Maternity Photographer include access to client dresses?
This is a personal choice. Some photographers have dresses for their clients to use during their sessions. This can be especially helpful for maternity photography sessions because it means you don’t have to buy a new dress that you will most likely use only once. Often the dresses that look the best in photos are not the dresses you might wear on a day-to-day basis. Think maxi dresses in fabrics that easily catch the wind. Here in Durham region we have Sugarbump Gown Rentals that rents gowns to photographers and clients. I have an extensive client closet full of dresses that I’ve found to look stunning on mamas of all shapes and sizes. The right wardrobe will elevate your portraits from simple snapshots to works of art. When you book your session with me you will have access to all of these dresses included with your session.
3. Do you want to include your significant other or other children?
This is an important question to ask your Oshawa maternity photographer. Some photographers create absolute stunning portraits of mamas on their own. Others focus on the bond between family. Your session with me will be a combination of the two. While I will love working with you to create beautiful photographs of you on your own, I think highlighting your family’s love is so important. Whether this is between you and your partner, you and your children, or everyone together, this time of your life is so fleeting. Once your new baby arrives, whether it is your first or your third, your family is changed completely.
