what to expect
It’s OK to want something a little bit different from the norm of posed, perfect photos. I’m a firm believer in capturing memories and moments. We might be the right fit if you want artistic, timeless images that showcase your beauty and strength as a mother.
I take a lifestyle approach to sessions. This means that you can expect guidance around posing and I will give you prompts meant to capture natural connections. This includes newborn sessions, where we capture the authentic nature of your relationship in how you typically hold and cradle your babe.
What is included in your session?
With all sessions you have complete access to my client dresses for mothers, girls, and babies. I am also here to help you plan the perfect wardrobe to elevate your images.
Sessions can take place outdoors at sunset, in studio, or in your home. We will discuss what space will best capture what you want from this session.
You can expect a full gallery (30+ images) in an online gallery. You are able to download, share and print your images however you would like.
How does the client closet work?
You will be amazed at how easy it is to feel absolutely beautiful for your session! The client closet is a collection of dresses available to all my clients for use during their session. You can see all the options here. Most of the dresses fit sizes from Small to Extra-large and I am happy to recommend dresses that will compliment your body type. You can choose a few favourites and I will bring them to your session. If your session is outdoors I have a change tent you can use to get dressed. You will most likely have time to wear two different outfits during your session.
Can my partner or family take part in my maternity session?
Absolutely! Including your partner or other children creates lasting memories of this moment as a family, and will create a more diverse gallery of images. My client closet also includes dresses for girls from 12 months – 12 years. For the guys I recommend they wear neutral colours (beige, brown, olive green, khaki).
Investment - $600
A retainer fee of $200 is required to secure your date, which will be put towards your session fee. Once your retainer fee is received we will start planning your perfect session. We will discuss wardrobe, location, and what to expect from your session.
If you would prefer to have a studio session there are several studios I love to use throughout the Durham region. Studio fees will apply on top of your investment fee, and these range from $85-$100.
Family Film - $550
If photographs can tell a story, a film can bring them to life. Films will allow you to relive all the moments years from now – how your daughter holds your hand or how your partner strokes your back. These are truly breathtaking .
A beautiful keepsake 2-4 minute film that brings your family to life. Imagine being able to look back on all the little moments. This can be added on to any session and will be discussed in advance of session.
Maternity and newborn package - $1100
Includes both your maternity and your newborn session, with a full gallery of images for each session. Save when booking in advance and have one less thing to worry about before baby arrives.
