Kawartha Lakes Wedding Venues

You love the outdoors and you’re looking for a beautiful, elegant wedding venue that highlights this. With its rolling hills, numerous lakes and endless farmer’s fields, Kawartha Lakes is the perfect area to start your search. Kawartha Lakes is a region just 90 minutes northeast of Toronto and encompasses many smaller communities, each with their own charm. The Kawartha Lakes are perfect if you’re looking for a wedding venue not far from Toronto with a relaxing, cottage country feel. I’ve rounded up some gorgeous wedding venues that combine luxury with a rustic, outdoor feel.

South Pond Farms

South Pond Farms is located in the hills of Bethany and does a wonderful job of combining luxury with a relaxed, country feel. South Pond Farms features a restored century barn for your reception (mid-May to September), beautiful gardens and stunning fields. South Pond Farms is a full service venue which provides their own food, bar, florals and decorations and planning services. Included in the venue fee is use of the beautiful cottage for getting ready and for the couple to stay the night of.

If you’re looking for a place where you can make an entire weekend wedding take a look at Eganridge Resort. You can have your ceremony under a maple tree by the lake and spend the entire weekend relaxing in one of the many cottages and suites. Viamede Resort

Viamede is a cottage and hotel resort on the north shore of Stoney Lake, about 90 minutes from Toronto. Come for the weekend and explore the 2000 feet of waterfront and 9km of hiking trails. Enjoy the kayaks, paddle boards and beaches in the summer, and the fireplaces, indoor pool and trails in the winter. Viamede takes care of everything for one price per person, but you do need to ensure 12 rooms in the main building are booked by your guests, with a two night minimum. Weddings are only booked outside of the prime summer months (not available between Canada Day and Labour Day weekends)

WELCOME

This is your story. Let me help you tell it. I’m Kristin, and I’m so happy you’re here. I’m a Durham region photographer specializing in motherhood, maternity, and newborn photography. Let’s chase sunsets together and create some amazing memories. You’re a dreamer and a romantic. You want someone to fully see you and your family and to capture the beauty in the big moments and the small details. Your favourite photographs are the ones that capture a feeling, not the perfectly posed photos. You crave something a little bit different from the everyday – something bolder, more artistic, and even a little cinematic. I see you. Motherhood isn’t always perfect moments. Motherhood is messy. Motherhood is hard. Motherhood is freaking unbelievable. It’s perfectly imperfect. Let’s capture the beautiful chaos of motherhood.
